As a trusted provider of lasting power of attorney advice in West Drayton, we guide clients through every step of the process with clarity, care, and professional expertise — ensuring nothing is left to chance.

Understanding Your Options

A Lasting Power of Attorney is one of the most important legal documents you can put in place. It ensures that a person you trust — whether a family member, close friend, or professional adviser — has the legal authority to manage your affairs should you lose the capacity to do so yourself. Without one in place, even those closest to you may face significant legal hurdles when trying to act on your behalf. At Burch Phillips & Co., we take the time to explain your options in plain, straightforward language, helping you make informed decisions with complete confidence.

Covering Property, Finance, and Health

Our LPA services extend to both property and financial affairs as well as health and welfare decisions — two distinct but equally important areas of future planning. Much like our leasehold conveyancing work, our approach to LPA matters is thorough, detail-oriented, and always focused on protecting your best interests. We ensure that every document is correctly drafted and properly registered with the Office of the Public Guardian, so that your LPA is valid and ready to use when the time comes.

Why I would need a Lasting Power of Attorney?

You may have a relative whom you fear may become mentally incapable of managing their own affairs. They would therefore need you to deal with their affairs and be able to continue to do so, even if they do become mentally incapable.

We charge £400.00 plus VAT for drawing up a single Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA) and £150.00 plus VAT for any additional LPA and registering them with the Office of the Public Guardian. The OPG charges a registration fee of £92.00 for each LPA.

Burch Phillips & Co. do not draw up any Powers of Attorney that deal with money and property other than in England and Wales. For advice and to book an appointment, just get in touch.
